Persistent Prayer

Scripture: Luke 18:1
Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,..

Observation:
Jesus is telling a parable about a woman who is a constant bother to a man who doesn't believe in God. She wants him to avenge some wrong that has been done to her. He finally decides to do it because she won't leave him alone. God says if the unjust can do it, God will do it much quicker for those who call on Him day and night.

Application:
Many times I have prayed so long for something that I wonder if God hears me. There is evidence that he does answer my prayers, because some things I have prayed for He has answered. I prayed for my dad to know God for 20 years and God answered it. Sometimes during that time, I wondered if it would ever happen. God tells us to pray and don't give up because He will answer.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, Thank you for answering my prayers. Help me to wait upon you Lord because Your timing is perfect. Help me to not give up and continue in prayer no matter what the circumstance. Thank you for loving and providing everything I need. In Jesus name Amen.
