Scripture: Acts 6: 10-12
And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.” And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.
Observation:
Stephen is going around doing good for all the people and telling them about God. Some men decided to dispute what Stephen is saying by lying about him. They go so far as to stir up the people about it and get others to join in their lie and Stephen is taken to the council.
Application:
These verses are telling me that even though I may be doing the right thing, Satan hates me and will do anything to stop me. Even make up lies and try to get me in trouble with the authorities, all because I love God and what to tell others about Him.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank you for showing me this. Please protect me and all Your workers and help us to finish the work you have for us to do. In Jesus Name Amen.
